The Stair

The intention is to use this staircase to connect the Mountain & Moon studio (2nd floor) to the ground floor, common display area (with the_Kyza). Inspired by the words "fly" and "jewel",

I have used chrome poles to hold glass treads in formation. The material of glass reflects a similarity with the jewels that Mountain & Moon jewellery features. In addition, the thin chrome poles reflect light, similar to precious metals found in rings and necklaces etc. The poles are also intended to gives the glass treads a 'floating' appearance, harking back to the inspiration of "flight", so that the experience of ascending into the jewellery studio feels like a natural progression.
